The most meaningful part of who we are is our story.
My mother, Lottie, passed away from stage 4 colon cancer in 1995. Losing her created a space in my heart that time could never fill.
Twenty-eight years later, on the anniversary of her passing, I found myself reflecting on her life, her legacy, and the significance of the number 28.
My mother passed away on the 28th day. And there I was, 28 years later.
In that moment, I felt the Holy Spirit remind me that there was purpose in what I had carried all those years.
And from that purpose, came LottiePop28.
MORE THAN LASHES
Lottie loved her lashes. They were part of her signature: beautiful, confident, and unmistakably her.
So creating a lash brand in her honor felt deeply personal.
But LottiePop28 became about something much bigger than beauty.
Lynch syndrome is an inherited genetic condition that can significantly increase a person’s risk of colorectal cancer and several other cancers. Learning how hereditary cancer risk can affect generations of a family gave this mission an even deeper meaning for us.
Through LottiePop28, we hope to use beauty as a platform to raise awareness, foster education, and encourage conversations about family health history and the importance of understanding hereditary cancer risk.
Because sometimes, information can change a family for generations.
